Needle Punch Carpet is a non-woven carpet completely different from your traditional types of tufted carpets. Manufactured by extruding several different coloured fibres and different thickness at different times.
These fibres are then brought together and blended much the same as blending wool and other fibres.
This is required to achieve uniformity. The fibre substrate is then put through a process called needling
(hence the name Needle Punch) which entwines the fibres to form a tight matrix. The sheet product is then put through a latex bath, bonding the fibres together. This economical floor covering is used in schools, retail shops, Institutions, offices etc. Fusing traditional plaid, psychedelic 60s colour and no-rules punk styling, Mad About Plaid is haute couture for the floor.
